Is there a minimum score requirement for the USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 CK?

No, however higher scores are more favorable.

Is there an attempt limit for either exam?

No. The number of attempts does not matter as long as a passing score is achieved.

By the time of application, is the USMLE Step 2 CS required?

No, however it is preferred to be completed by the time of applications are reviewed.

By the time of application, does the applicant need to be fully ECFMG certified?

No. However, ECFMG verification much be obtained before the start of your residency and must be to be added to the Rank Order List.

Do you have a program application deadline? If yes, what is the cutoff date?

Review of applications begins October 1st, once the Dean’s Letters have been added. The first round of invites will take place in mid-October.

Is there a time since graduation cut off?

No.

Is US clinical experience required?

Yes. At least one year of clinical experience in an accredited US hospital is required.

Do you sponsor the H-1 visa?

Yes, if the applicant is coming from another ACGME residency program.

We offer J-1 visas and H-1B visas to Canadians who are graduates of a US medical school.

Do you accept the ECFMG-sponsored J1 visa?

Yes.

Are there specific requirements for letters of recommendation?

No. However, there must be a letter from each Program Director of any residency training completed or participated in.

Do you have any International Medical Graduates?

Currently there are none, but we have in the past years.

By time of application, do I need to have my California Status Letter in hand?

Yes.
