Welcome 4th year medical students!


We offer the following radiology electives:

Diagnostic Radiology - 4 weeks

This elective is designed for fourth year students interested in a general overview of radiology regardless of future residency choice. The medical student will be introduced to both the reading and procedure rooms, allowing the exploration of multiple radiology subspecialties including thoracic imaging, abdominal imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, pediatric radiology and ultrasound. The elective can be tailored to the interests of the student (ie. musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology). The majority of the student's time will be spent in the clinical care environment and with supplemental integrated didactic lectures and self-instructional modules. Interventional Radiology - 2 weeks

This elective is specially designed for fourth year students interested in interventional radiology, as well as for students entering specialties such as general surgery, nephrology, or vascular surgery. The medical student will be introduced to both the reading and procedure rooms of interventional radiology. The majority of the student's time will be spent in the clinical care environment and with supplemental integrated didactic lectures and self-instructional modules. Enrollment is by a first come basis.
